Monthly Classes

I hold monthly stamping classes, teaching the ART of rubber stamping. I have several regulars that come and class is open to new people.

Most of the time we make four cards.  Or we make three cards and some sort of 3D item. It’s a wonderful group of ladies, who help the newbies if they have a question. I do ask that you contact me, so I can reserve a spot for you, Cost of the class is  fifteen dollars. You’ll need to bring some sort of adhesive and small sharp scissors. At this point, I supply all the extras and envelopes for the cards. Every thing is prefolded and scored. I have a big shot there too.

So if you’re interested in a night out, please contact me and we can talk.

Dog/Cat sympathy card

One of my favorite Stampin’Up! sets is ‘Sitting Here’. As I was looking at it, I thought it would make a lovely dog or cat sympathy card. I know my pet is part of the family and would be dearly missed.

I stamped the image in the center of the card. Then I punched a 1 3/4″ circle from window sheet to mask the image as I sponged around it. I’ll save the window sheet circle for future masking.IMG_4210IMG_4208

Stamp class cards are loved!

Class was last Friday in Kingston, NY. It was wonderful to be with my customers. After a long break it was great to see them again.Here are the 4 cards we made;

I try to teach a new technique and fold at each class. It is held once a month and you must pre register.

April stamp class (5)

The etch a sketch card was cased from Carol Lovenstein, with her permission. To cut out the center, the cards & labels from project life was used. Wonderful, fun idea.

The next butterfly card was a swap from SU! convention 2014. There was no information from the designer. If it is you, please let me know and I will give you credit. The rhinestones were colored with sharpies and elegant butterfly was punched from 5 different colored card stock, then stacked with mini dots.

April stamp class (8)

Last was a fence card. I used the woodgrain embossing folder for the background. I inked one side with a brayer inked with soft suede ink. Then place my card stock on it, covered that with scrap paper and rubbed. The lines were drawn with soft suede marker and the post created with sharp scissors.

New site for Stamping class

Well it certainly has been a long time in coming! I will be having class this coming Friday, April 10. It will be at 70 Lindsley Avenue, Kingston, NY.
It is at an old Kingston school that is now used for community service.

Time is 5:00 – 8:30, cost is $15.00 for 4 cards. Except for scissors and tape, I will continue to supply envelopes and supplies to complete the cards and/or 3D items.

Stampin’Up! has continued to increase its cost for some time now and I have had to adjust to this.

Please let me know if you will be attending, no later then this Thursday. You can email me at stampingwithkate@gmail.com or calling 845 331-3259

I look forward to seeing you then

warmly, Katie

Easter tags for my kids…and friend

I was asking my guys if they still wanted Easter baskets. They are in the 20’s  (and then some) and I thought the time had come to forgo them…guess I was wrong. So to celebrate this joyous time, I made them tags.
